I’ve never particularly enjoyed sporting activities, the only things I really liked were hiking and yoga. Any attempts I made to get fit or lose weight were usually short lived and ineffective. Generally leaving me with an abandoned subscription to a gym or some other fitness ‘thing’. So when I initially joined Movements 6 week programme, I never really expected it to last. It was just a last minute whim in order to do something towards that dream holiday body!
That single decision to join Movement has completely changed my life. Two and a half years later, I’m slimmer but much more importantly I’m now fitter, stronger, healthier and making better choices are the norm! I don’t have to go without anything I want, I simply have a better understanding of how to put my food choices together in a better way….to suit my current aims. It’s been the gift that keeps on giving.
I go to the sessions and am surrounded by people who are genuinely inspiring, supporting every tiny step forward and who quite frankly are an utter joy to train with. All shapes and sizes, all ages and abilities in an environment that has such a great vibe to it.

I joined Movement Health and Fitness for a six week course in April and it is honestly the best thing I have ever done for myself.
I had never been in a gym or done any sort of training in my life and was so nervous but I needn’t have worried. I have been going 3 times a week ever since and I look forward to every session. Kerrie and Aaron are both lovely people and as my coach Kerrie’s knowledge of nutrition, training and her amazing support has literally changed my life. I’ve lost well over a stone in weight and dropped a dress size. I feel amazing and for the first time in my life my cardiovascular health is showing as better than average which is pretty amazing since I have been asthmatic for over 30 years.
The other people in the sessions are lovely and supportive, there is no judgement from anyone, just genuine friendliness and support. The sessions are all coached with support throughout on technique and encouragement to keep going.
I absolutely can’t recommend this place highly enough, especially if, like me the idea of going into a gym terrifies you. There is nothing to fear here I promise.

Jo spree
The best thing I ever did, and am doing 😃. I thought I just had to accept my menopausal belly and lack of muscle as a sign of my age. But decided that in my 50th year I’d give this a try to see if I could take control of my spiralling waist line and lack of strength and energy. Wow! I have been committed and stuck to the process, and it has worked. I’ve lost over 1.5stone in 3 months and dropped 2 dress sizes. My energy levels have improved, I feel more in control mentally, so much stronger, fitter and healthier. The team at movement are amazing supports. Quietly there in the background guiding you every step of the way and pushing you to be the best version of you! It’s a lovely group environment, with like minded people, who are all supportive. The whole set up is extremely professional, supportive and inclusive of all ages and abilities. Just think it’s been the best thing ever!!

Darren Sinclair
After joining Movement Health and Fitness over a year ago, I was well overweight and obese. I knew I had a long road ahead. I struggled with the exercises and getting the correct movements at first. However, through coaching and consistently attending week in, week out, I got there—or at least got better—and it enabled me to do everything I needed to. This has been a constant evolution with the help and guidance of Aaron and Kerrie. I've dropped nearly 5 stone over this time. I'm now in good shape and weight, and I no longer get out of breath walking upstairs. And the best part? I still enjoy going out at weekends, eating, and sometimes having a drink. I've just had to learn to control myself. Everyone can do this, whatever your situation. With the help of everyone at Movement, your life can change as well.

NICK JUDGE
So my journey from 17 stone to where I’m now 13 and half stone.
Having suffered a neck injury in first stint with movement which took me 2 years to heal, I was struggling with mental health issues and the fact that I was injured for so long I put all the weight back on that I lost the first time round.
I decided to do something about it in January which was to start walking in a walking group. Then I received a text from Aaron in February to try out a free week trial to previous members.
I decided very quickly that it was something I needed to do as the walking on its own wasn’t doing what I needed.
I won’t lie that week was extremely hard being out of shape and overweight, however, signing back up was a no brainier. Having spoke to Aaron about what I wanted to do he and Kerrie were very supportive.
After the 3 week mark I had retrained my body to a new habit and became addicted. Luckily for me I won the competition for 1-2-1 nutrition coaching for 12 weeks which was always my biggest problem.
Starting the 12 week course at 93 kgs I knew what I want and had a goal to get down to at least 13 and half stone and have definition in my body. 12 weeks on and I really can’t believe the journey I’ve been which has only been possible not only from the coaches but from the fabulous people I share the gym with, always pushing me harder and further and the fact that whether it’s the 0600 crew or the 1900 crew you are all the same, fantastic to be around, supportive and excellent company to have while getting thrashed in the gym🤣🤣.
So to everyone I’ve met on my journey I thank you for a role you’ve played weather you knew it or not you’ve really helped me achieve what I’ve achieve so far and yet the journey continues. Thank you to everyone

JENNIFER CAMPBELL
I have trained at the gym for many years and started training with Movement late 2019. I have always been in pretty good shape, but found that after lockdown and Christmas indulgences, my weight and body shape were not where I wanted them to be. I started my journey coaching with Aaron in January 2022.
My weight started at around 70kg. My nutrition was set out by Aaron and I was given all the encouragement and tools to help me.
I had a few challenges along the way as being vegetarian, I struggled not only in getting the required amounts, but finding a protein supplement that I would tolerate. Working with Aaron and the movement team made this easier to manage, I received recommendations and support every step of the way and this helped me.
Each month, I found that I was seeing progressive weight loss and my body shape was changing too.
Skip forward 6 months and I have achieved my target weight of 60kg and smashed my 58kg maintenance weight so am now officially in maintenance. I am overjoyed with what I have achieved and excited with what Aaron now has in store for me.
Can not recommend Movement enough if you want to change your lifestyle, mindset and get in shape for good!

STUART PERRY
I first started having personal training sessions with Aaron in May 2018 after by previous trainer moved areas. I must say that I was very apprehensive at first but before long I knew that I had made the correct decision. right from the start I found that Aaron was very knowledgeable and extremely patient. Having been told that I would never be able to do a full squat I think he made it his mission to enable me to perform the squat with correct form. He has loads of little tricks up his sleeves to help you achieve the impossible. Over the last two years I have progressed in leaps and bounds not only in performing the exercises but my completely changing my body shape. This has given me a lot more confidence not only with my body but as a person. He consistently pushes/encourages you to lift heavier weights by varying the styles of your own personal training programme. Since he and Kerrie have opened their own gym - I have also got to know Kerrie, who specialises in training ladies. Must say she is equally as knowledgeable. Both of them are very professional, friendly and always ready to lend a helping hand. Since being in the pandemic they have not forgotten about their members. They have set up twice daily classes, along with PT sessions - both of which are run through the Zoom app. All in all I would highly recommend them both to help you get the best out of your workouts and get you in the best shape possible. Give them a try - just know you won't be disappointed.

MATT BAILEY
I started my weight loss journey with another gym in October 2019, weighing in at 18st 12lb. Although I lost 2 stone, I wasn’t enjoying the experience I was about to give up. The gym was then taken over by Aaron and Kerrie, so I decided to give it another chance. So glad I did! It was a completely different experience. I went from not looking forward to going to classes to now being disappointed if I can’t make it. The changes I’ve seen in my physical appearance have been amazing! Even through lockdown, I’ve managed to keep losing weight with the online zoom group sessions. I’m now at 14st 7lb, so over 4st lost. I cannot recommend this gym enough.

RICHARD MCHUGH
I joined Movement in support of my partner who after Lockdown wanted to tone up and lose a little weight. She had been given good feedback from a friend regarding the gym.
We decided to both sign up for the Primal Shred programme which lasts 8 weeks but first did 2 weeks before the programme started to get used to the structure of the classes.
Before joining Movement my weight was 17st 7lbs but with the guidance of Aaron and Kerrie over the next 10 week my weight dropped to 15st 13lbs and a total inch loss of 24.5.
I found the classes enjoyable and well structured within a friendly relaxed environment. There is a mixture of abilities and ages among the members and all are encouraging to one another’s development and personal achievements.
I’d recommend anyone who wants to make a positive lifestyle change to join Movement ..... I’m glad I did.

Sharon Collins
Previously I was struggling with consistent weight loss, I trained well, almost every day even during lock down I made every effort to stay active, however my weight stubbornly refused to come off, I genuinely thought I would have to accept my weight was destined to stay the same, blaming age, being menopausal.
Having a thyroid disorder has always been a concern. In August 2021 I had a nutrition review with Aaron, That was the turning point (my light bulb moment). After some changes were made to my plan I committed to follow the nutrition plan accurately & honestly & I started to see results! My weight was reducing & I started to see the changes to my body, I could see muscle tone developing.
The effects of my health and fitness have been immeasurable. It wasn't easy to stay focused, weekends and meals out were the biggest challenge, however with support, encouragement and guidance from Aaron and the movement team I found the process worked as long as I stayed positive and trusted it.
Seeing the results has totally changed my mind set, I no longer feel like I'm fighting a losing battle, I knew with Aaron’s support I could do this. I'm so proud of the results, in August I was 73.4kg, today I am 58.5kg and so close to my target of 56kg.
I feel fit, healthy and happy & have dropped 3 clothes sizes, I look in the mirror & don't see a fat person looking back. The most important thing I've learnt over the last 10 months is to trust in the process. I am now better equipped to take on the next challenge of managing my nutrition & maintaining my weight long term.
